Security and privacy come first.
Recruiting involves young people and sensitive records. These are the rules we are building around.
Security and privacy by design.
Role-based access
Planned roles: athlete, guardian, evaluator, coach, recruiting coordinator, administrator. Each sees only what their role needs.
Minors’ data protection
Collect the minimum, hide contact details until the athlete or guardian allows it, and involve guardians for athletes under 18.
FERPA awareness
Education records, such as transcripts, are handled under FERPA principles: shared only with consent or an allowed exception. Your institution’s counsel makes the final call.
Athlete-controlled visibility
Athletes and guardians decide which programs see profile sections, and can change it at any time.
Private by default
Staff notes and Staff Scores are visible only inside the program that wrote them.
Audit trail
Changes to locked grades and permission changes are logged.
