How to build a recruiting board that works
A simple five-stage board and the few fields that actually matter.
Start with five stages
Most programs only need Discovered, Contacted, Visit, Offer, and Committed. More stages usually mean more clutter and less updating.
Track fewer fields, better
- Position and class
- One or two measurables
- A single owner on your staff
- The next step and its due date
Review weekly
Spend fifteen minutes each week moving athletes forward or off the board. A board nobody trusts is worse than none.
